Literary Hub Column
In early 2019, I began writing a monthly audiobooks feature for Literary Hub and joined the Lit Hub staff as a contributing editor. Each month, my column recommends recently released audiobooks around a different genre or theme, highlighting the books' content as well as their narration and other audio elements. Most of all, as a visually impaired reader who has read exclusively with my ears since the age of sixteen, my goal is to champion what many once considered lesser versions of print. According to Publishers Weekly, half of all Americans read an audiobook in 2018. As Matthew Rubery writes in The Untold Story of the Talking Book, "audiobooks are for people who can't read and for people who can't read enough."
